Hmmm . . . what to say?
Not much to say except that we've waited for eight months and hopefully it won't be too many more. I've been blessed with patience this time around and I think I can last a few more weeks . . . . maybe months.
The crazy thing is that when we do get our referral, another wait begins which may end up being just as long as the wait for referral. But at least we'll know who our son is and what he looks like and the monthly updates will get us through.
But for now we wait . . . . . . . . . . and wait . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and wait . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . man, I'm getting good at waiting!

Congrats! Even with the changes, 8 is a big one! Hoping that the wait is not too much longer!
Patience is a good thing. Hopefully you aren't waiting that much longer for a referral...

I hear ya on getting good at waiting. When we started our adoption journey my daughter was 3... now i'm just hoping we will have a referral before she turns 6.

Congrats on being 8 closer! The wait is so hard but I've learned today that when referral seems close a whole new feeling of 'ahhh...I'm not ready' begins!!!

I have a feeling you are getting very close, Karen! We have a moms group that meets monthly (adoptive moms from Russia, Ukraine, China and Ethiopia)and we just got together last night. I was thinking of you as two of our moms were sharing pics of their Ethiopia babies. If their timelines are any indication, your turn should be just around the corner!!

Hi Karen! I was just checking in to see if you had a referral yet. I hope you don't have to wait too much longer.
Our wait is almost over! We leave for China in a week to adopt a little boy. We'll be posting at www.manylives.ca if you want to follow along with our trip. We'll be thinking of you guys and Samara when we're in China to celebrate the second anniversary of Adoption Day 2007! Lia is coming with us and she's pretty excited.
