Sleepy Boy

So Denver is at that stage where he's going from two naps a day down to just one. Some days he just needs one and other days he still needs two. Yesterday he had a really long morning nap and so I assumed he didn't need another one and he could just go to bed on time at night. He was happily playing all afternoon and didn't seem tired at all.

At suppertime, for a special treat, we let the kids eat in the family room instead of around the kitchen table. All of a sudden we looked over and Denver was fast asleep in his high chair! I guess maybe he did need a second nap. So guess who was well rested and up partying late into the night???

awww! that is so cute! our oldest fell asleep in his high chair once while he was eating waffles and we captured it on video.

that going from two naps down to one is a tricky one. I know that sometimes even once our kids had stopped napping and were four or five years old, there were days when they still needed a nap, kind of like a catch up and then they'd be ok again.

Rough time when the switch comes around. Not sure who it's harder for - Denver or parents?! Hmmmm! Sleep tight Denver but next time try the bed - much more comfy!
