Sunday Afternoon Adventures

Not far from our home is this amazing spot for exploring. We spent Sunday afternoon here playing in the water, rock hopping, finding treasures . . . crawfish, bright green algae, wildflowers, etc. We weren’t sure if there would be any fish but we brought our rods just in case. And sure enough, there were fish. Only one person caught a fish (hey, look who it was!) but we all had fun trying. Soon enough, fishing and rock hopping weren’t enough and the afternoon turned into swimming for Samara and Denver. We were completely unprepared for bringing two waterlogged kids home and next time we will for sure bring towels at the very least.

We had never taken the kids here before but you can bet we’ll be back!

Surprise, surprise - a couple of wet ones...and look who it was :) They certainly had fun. Congrats to the "fish catcher!" What a hoot! Good place to be together on a hot summer day. Gramz
