Ahh....the first cookie. I remember it well.....LOL! I remember when my oldest was little, she wasn't allowed to have ANY sugar. I don't think she had any for a whole year! Even her one year birthday cake was some strange concoction of fruit and oatmeal or something. Then, you have another kid, and things change. BIG TIME. Neil's one year cake was ALL chocolate. (GASP- that has CAFFEINE in it!)

PS- Glad you're back, your Samara is TOOOOOO cute!

Hi Karen and Mike,
Samara looks so happy in your home! It sounds like you have had the same challenges we have had. Hailey is napping twice a day now and is sleeping (mostly) through the night. Although last night, Alex was wakened several time and just had to soothe her back to sleep. We are so happy that the crib in her own room has worked out for us so far. It has made it easier. It was so great to spend the weekend with Hailey as she is usually crusty in the morning before i go to work, and then i come home in the witching hour and get the evening crustiness. So it is nice to get happy daytime quality time with my daughter. She is starting to really thrive. I wonder if having two slightly older kids makes it easier for you to amuse her, i am getting bored of stacking cups (ha, ha). Cant wait for nicer weather too! We miss you guys and the group alot, in fact, every morning seems lonely compared with the group buffet breakfast together comparing the evenings notes. It was always nice to see your tired, smiling faces (and your mom too! say hi)

Talk to you soon. Love Jason, Alex and Hailey.
