Just to prove to you that we are now really in Beijing and it's definitely not as warm as it was in Guangzhou . . .
Cute eh? Our bodies are preparing for that frigid Canadian weather I've been hearing about! Poor Samara knows nothing about cold weather. When we were in Guangzhou, we heard that the government puts out weather warnings when the temperatures are going to drop to +5 degrees celcius in the winter. Isn't that hilarious? What do you think of that my fellow Canadians? Even when it was +28 degrees there, we never saw anyone in shorts - they were still wearing sweatshirts and coats. We wanted to buy some shorts but you couldn't even find that there.

That is soooo sweet!
Hi Karen,
These will be the "I can't wait to get home" days. Patience to you...wait till Mike finds the electronic mart with all the fpods (fakes). Try to remain calm and hopefully Samara will pick up on that. Inspite of all of this waiting and living out of suitcases you are coming home with a treasure. Blessings Marianne
Love the picture of Samara!
Hey guys,
So happy to hear that you are doing well. Man, going to the doctor in China? What an experience. Also what an amazing opportunity to see China. Better watch out--Samara might hold that one over on you one day when she's a teenager...."If it wasn't for me you wouldn't have seen China! Now how about that car...." :)
Peace and love,
Marisa and family
Hi Karen & Michael,
Congratulations!! Samara is adorable!! Sounds like you guys are having a good journey so far. I just wanted to tell you that I applaude your post on attachment issues. This is important information that we try to help families understand, and it can be a hard one to get (having gone through it twice myself!!) when the child seems so happy and well-adjusted. It's hard explaining to family & friends that they can't hold the new baby for a while, when everyone is just as happy and excited as we the parents are. You're doing the right thing for Samara...good for you guys!! Hang in there, and enjoy the rest of your journey. I'm sure you're aching to get home and see your other 2 children, and to introduce them to their new little sister!!
Take care,
Donna Paonessa (from Children's Bridge)
Cute picture!!
That countdown to home ticker is getting closer and closer to 0!!!
I bet you are just itching to see your other babies by now!!
I have no idea how I'm going to survive 2 weeks without my boys!!
Love following along!!
Dawn
She looks so cute in that suit! A little Michelin Man! :-)
As for the weather....prepare yourself, girl! :-)

Hi Guys... we can't wait to have you home too. She is so adorable. I think it's great how educated you are on forming the emotional attachments etc. Samara is a very lucky girl... and she doesn't even know about the great sister and brother she has yet! I do think you may have to make a t-shirt for her with instructions though because she has hug me, squeeze me, kiss me written all over that chubby little body.
Love ya lots
Pauline
she is soooooooooo cute!!!!
