This morning we boarded the bus again and were off to the White Cloud Mountain. We had to ride a gondola to get to the top of the mountain. We walked around at the top of the mountain and enjoyed the view from the top. It was quite smoggy so we couldn’t see too much up there. The gardens and landscaping were beautiful and everything is decorated for Chinese New Year. We enjoyed a bird show and then walked around the biggest birdcage in the world. There’s a huge area that is enclosed with a net with many different birds in it (even seagulls!). Samara was really good and enjoyed seeing all the birds and loved the music a the bird show. She was grinning from ear to ear.

After we boarded the bus again, we stopped at a Chinese Tea House on our way back to the hotel. We were invited to sit around a table and sample some of the different teas. We were shown how to make tea the proper way with loose tea leaves. Apparently it was pretty good (I’m not a tea drinker) and Mike enjoyed the different flavours. We wanted to purchase some tea leaves but we’re not sure if we’re allowed to take that home on the plane to Canada. They also had a bonsai garden outside which was really beautiful.
